If you voted in Washoe County yesterday, you were part of an unusually high midterm turnout. All 41 vote centers have closed, and Andrew McDonald estimated at least 58.2% of the county's roughly 330,000 registered voters cast ballots. "We put out small fires here and there, but in reality, it's been a very flawless election," he said.

KTVN reported that nearly 44% of voters returned ballots before Election Day. McDonald says the count will keep rising as mail ballots are processed over the next four days. If you mailed yours, it must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by 5 p.m. Sat., Nov. 7 to count.

Three dates decide the last Washoe ballots

  1. Nov. 6Provisional ballot date, as Washoe's registrar gave it
  2. Nov. 7Mail ballots returned through the U.S. Postal Service must arrive by 5 p.m.
  3. Nov. 9Last day to cure a ballot
  • Results: posted once a day by 6 p.m. from now on
  • 2024 general election: 41,000 voted in person, McDonald said
  • This year's ballot: no U.S. Senate race
