- ➤ A female black bear was safely tranquilized by NDOW after being seen early Tuesday near the Alexander Apartments and was released near Davis Creek on Wednesday with aversive conditioning—Karelian Bear Dogs and loud noise were used to deter her from returning to residential areas. 2NEWS
- ➤ Today, more than 200 Spanish goats from High Desert Grazing are grazing above Somersett to reduce wildfire risks by clearing about 20 acres of vegetation between Pepperwood Court, Mountain Spirit Trail, and Peavine Valley Road—complementing other fire mitigation efforts.
