- ➤ The University Studies Abroad Consortium, based at UNR for over 40 years, is working to keep study abroad opportunities open even as federal budget cuts and rising costs make it harder for students. - ➤ The Washoe County School District Zoning Advisory Committee met Thursday night at Dodson Elementary School and voted with 10 votes to 1 to rezone four elementary schools for the 2028 school year — combining Smithridge and Dodson into a new school on the old Pine campus — and shifting North Dodson students to Hidden Valley Elementary, South Dodson students to Donner Springs, and Corbett and Smithridge students to the new campus. 2NEWS
