Local veterans were honored at Tuesday’s Veterans Day Parade downtown when Mayor Hillary Schieve named a local Air Force veteran as grand marshal—Reno Park Ranger Scott Hoffman read the city proclamation and groups like JROTC participated in the event to show respect for northern Nevada veterans.

Local restaurants, bars, tattoo shops, and car dealerships honored veterans on November 11 by hosting special tributes—each business showing its unique way of recognition.

On Veterans Day, people lined C Street in Virginia City to see the sights and honor those who served.

The parade (held on November 11) drew many local residents as they paid tribute to veterans.
