- ➤ Northern Nevada will honor veterans and active-duty military with free meals, services, and a downtown parade in Reno on November 11 at 11:11 a.m.—local businesses and officials have planned extra celebrations across Reno, Sparks and Washoe County. The events offer free discounts and special ceremonies to thank veterans for their service. 2NEWS
- ➤ Next Friday the Food Bank of Northern Nevada will partner with Cumulus Media for its second annual 'Thanks for Giving' radio food drive — the event will collect food donations for local residents. 2NEWS
- ➤ Reno Aces announced the Home for the Holidays event at Greater Nevada Field on December 5th, where Santa Claus will appear to celebrate Christmas with the community plus a food menu featuring bacon wrapped shrimp and fried mac n cheese balls.
