GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Reno experts said that the First Amendment does not stop private companies from setting their own rules for social media, which can mean job loss for employees who post on their private pages. • NDOT reopened Stoker Avenue beneath I-80 today after months of work—including installing 114000 pounds of reinforcing steel to widen the bridge—while crews continue to improve and repave more than one mile of I-80; drivers are advised to allow extra travel time as lane shifts, reduced speeds, and intermittent ramp closures remain in place through summer. This project marks a significant step in the ongoing work to enhance traffic safety and mobility in west Reno.  KRNV
