- ➤ Yesterday a ribbon cutting celebrated a new accessibility ramp at Tahoe Meadows that cost $35,000 and took six to seven years to complete—NV Energy joined with the Tahoe Fund and community leader Roberta Ross to make the boardwalk reachable for all, and the ramp now meets ADA standards with plans to expand the East Shore Trail in the future. 2NEWS
- ➤ Expecting moms in Sparks will join a free community baby shower hosted by Molina Healthcare of Nevada, Community Health Alliance, and Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet on Oct. 23 at Sparks Fellowship Church (510 Greenbrae Dr.) from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event is planned to deliver games, giveaways, diapers, and other essentials to support moms before their babies arrive.
