- ➤ The Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Governing Board approved the zoning change for the StoneGate project on Oct. 9, letting Heinz Ranch Land Co. begin Reno’s building and permitting steps. The project now calls for 1,350 mixed housing units and 12 million square feet of industrial and commercial space— it is expected to create about 8,880 jobs while local leaders continue asking questions about water use and potential data centers.
