- ➤ The 15th Annual Run on Tuna began on September 1 and will run through September 30 to help the Food Bank by collecting both tuna cans and funds for local families. Organizers Michelle Sturge and De De Rosene expect to boost donations above the current 265,000 cans by accepting contributions online plus in person at Chase International. 2NEWS

- ➤ On Saturday night, the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office asked for help to identify an unknown white male adult in his mid-30s to 40 with short brown hair and facial hair, about 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds, who was found at Burning Man between 8 and 8:45 p.m. on I Street in Black Rock City—anyone with useful details is urged to call the office. - ➤ The 2025 Burning Man Festival ended yesterday with many burners returning to Reno amid extreme weather and a man being airlifted after stepping into a puddle while police investigate a murder from Saturday after an unidentified victim was found in a pool of blood—authorities ask anyone with information to come forward. - ➤ Crews are fighting the R-14 Buffalo Fire that has burned 1,276 acres in the Poodle Mountains Wilderness Study Area, 20 miles northwest of Gerlach—threatening buildings and sage grouse habitat.
