- ➤ Emergency crews from Reno Fire Department and Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue mopped up a brush fire in south Reno Saturday night near the intersection of Veterans Parkway and South Meadows Parkway—fireworks started the blaze that grew from two to four acres without threatening any structures. 2NEWS
- ➤ Reno Fire Department responded at 9:33 p.m. Saturday to an attic fire at 1435 Radcliffe Drive—27 firefighters placed salvage covers and shut off power and gas for safety as they contained the blaze while the cause remained under investigation. 2NEWS
- ➤ A juvenile was seriously injured in Sparks on July 18 at 11:42 p.m. when a car struck his non-street-legal motorcycle at the intersection of O’Callaghan Drive and E. Greenbrae Drive—he was taken to a local hospital. KRNV
