ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two mobile homes on Linden Street were destroyed by fire today (around 4 p.m.) and left uninhabitable as firefighters safely evacuated residents while officials are investigating the cause.  KRNV

CRIME NEWS

  • Washoe County deputies and Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Police Department located missing mother Sabina Coronado, one-year-old Tiffany Coronado, and 13-year-old Cashus Calvin near South 21st Street and Glendale Avenue in Reno— all three are now in protective care.  2NEWS
  • Storey County deputies are investigating a possible animal neglect case at Horse Power—a known rescue operation—after reports over the weekend showed eighteen horses and seven burros in poor health and residents saw several decayed bodies, and the animals were moved to a Dayton veterinarian for treatment.  2NEWS
  • Washoe County deputies will investigate a welfare check near South 21st Street and Glendale Avenue in Reno early Saturday evening after learning that Sabina Coronado— a 37-year-old Native American female with a skull and flower tattoo— left the scene with her one-year-old daughter Tiffany while a 13-year-old teen, Cashus Calvin, ran away and four children were abandoned— and authorities seek help locating the missing juveniles.  2NEWS
  • Sparks Police identified 19-year-old Felipe Acuna, who was fatally shot at a car meet near Greenbrae Drive late Friday, and held a press conference (with more details coming) on Monday while investigators continue looking for the suspect (who fled the scene).  2NEWS
  • The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing one-year-old infant, Tiffany Coronado, and a runaway 13-year-old teen, Cashus Calvin, after their mother, Sabina Coronado, left a welfare check at a Reno location on South 21st and Glendale Avenue on July 6 at 5:30 p.m.—authorities say the children are at risk and urge anyone with information to come forward.  KRNV
