- ➤ Yesterday, Sparks police and their partners carried out a retail theft sting that led to seven arrests and two citations with about $764 in stolen merchandise — including Lego sets and cosmetics — while an 18-year-old Reno resident with a stolen firearm was caught after attempting to flee into a drain and a trash bin. - ➤ Authorities investigated four small fires intentionally set near East 2nd Street Thursday—fire crews quickly extinguished the fires near 2nd and I-80 and near Keystone Avenue and 2nd and Chism Streets, and no injuries were reported. 2NEWS
- ➤ Storey County deputies made a traffic stop on June 26th and arrested a suspect after seizing over 200 pounds of marijuana — officers noted that while small amounts are legal, this quantity exceeds those limits. KRNV
