- ➤ Early Monday after 12:15 p.m., a Waste Management truck caught fire on Wheeler Avenue near Holcomb in Reno and fire crews used recent training to keep the natural gas release clear — investigators are now looking into the cause. 2NEWS
- ➤ At around 4:30 a.m. Monday, Nevada State Police responded to a fiery rollover crash on I-80 west near Derby Dam where the sole driver of an SUV suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital—impairment is not suspected. 2NEWS
- ➤ Today the Reno Fire Department rescued two women clinging to a rock on inner tubes in the Truckee River around 6:10 p.m. after a call reported one had a possible leg injury and neither was wearing a life jacket while officials stressed the river remains dangerously cold. 2NEWS

- ➤ The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an individual on May 25 near the Chimney Road dirt extension in Sun Valley—authorities ask anyone with relevant information to contact the Detectives Division. KRNV
- ➤ After hate slurs and symbols were sprayed on campus late last week, Reno High School canceled its Senior Assembly Friday and opened an investigation with local authorities and the WCSD Police Department (City Council Member Devon Reese and Mayor Hillary Schieve said hate crimes will not be tolerated) to hold those responsible accountable.
