  • Rain Enhancement Technologies is evaluating its ground-based ionization system to boost snowfall and rain in Nevada, activating only when weather is favorable — the company expects to reveal more details by year’s end after successful tests in Utah.  KRNV

  • Fire leaders briefed Governor Lombardo in Carson City about rising wildfire risks this summer as drought conditions and accumulated fuels may spark more fires, and they urged residents to follow safety tips like avoiding dry grass+ maintaining defensible space around properties.  2NEWS
  • Motorcycle rights advocates testified Tuesday before an interim legislative committee to urge lawmakers to legalize lane filtering—a measure that lets riders maneuver between vehicles in stopped traffic—and improve road safety after a recent fatal crash.   • A new UNLV-led study finds that hospital wastewater detects drug-resistant C. auris (a deadly fungus) up to five months before symptoms appear.
