EDUCATION NEWS

- ➤ AAA reported that gas prices remained steady in Nevada while California saw a cent drop since yesterday. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today for Washoe Lake, and boaters + paddlers should avoid the water until conditions improve. 2NEWS
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Thirty-eight wildland firefighters completed a five-day training session that ended Saturday with a simulated wildfire response in Carson, hosted by the Nevada Division of Forestry — the program has trained over 550 firefighters since 2014. They are now better prepared for the busy fire season. KRNV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Carson High Baseball Boosters will hold a fundraiser during tomorrow's Aces game; half the ticket proceeds will support the Blue Jays baseball program. A wind advisory is in place today at Washoe Lake from 11 AM to 11 PM, urging boaters to avoid the water due to strong winds. 2NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday night, the Reno Aces celebrated 40 years of Top Gun at Greater Nevada Field with two jets flying overhead and themed giveaways; five Top Gun pilots received a standing ovation during the 11-5 loss to the Las Vegas Aviators.
