- ➤ Oscar Henderson, 34, was fatally shot near Silver Legacy in downtown Reno on May 1 — the Washoe County medical examiner said his death was caused by a gunshot to the torso and police connected the homicide to a juvenile suspect arrested in California. Reno Gazette Journal
- ➤ Authorities identified Oscar Henderson, a 34-year-old Sparks resident, as the man fatally shot by a bullet to the torso near 4th and Virginia in downtown Reno on May 1, and a juvenile suspect was arrested in Santa Cruz— the police investigation is ongoing. 2NEWS
- ➤ A suspect was arrested after a fatal altercation in Sun Valley on April 28—Nathan Krall was booked and faces a charge of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon while the investigation continues and authorities say the public is no longer at risk. 2NEWS
- ➤ A man was arrested in connection with a fight in a Sun Valley home that left one person dead on April 28 as detectives booked Nathan Krall on an open murder charge (weapon enhancement likely involved an edged weapon and two people were taken to hospital with one later dying). - ➤ Reno saw smoky air on May 7 from a prescribed burn near Verdi, with AQI readings (151–200) staying below the 301 level that would force Washoe County schools to close.
