The SPCA of Northern Nevada has launched its 'Spring Into Saving Lives' fundraiser with a $50,000 matching grant from May 1 to May 31—doubling every donation to support lower adoption fees, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and rescue transport services for local pets.

Reno police are seeking a driver involved in a hit-and-run near East Sixth Street and Wells Avenue on April 22 at about 10:20 p.m.—the red two-door car fled after seriously injuring a pedestrian who was taken to a hospital.

The owners of Lakeridge Golf Course have applied to the city to redevelop the old driving range into a boutique hotel, restaurant and spa on a 12-acre plot south of McCarran Blvd — the golf course will stay open while developers plan new ingress and egress improvements to cut traffic. The project requires rezoning from parks, greenways and open space to a specific plan district.
