- ➤ A motorcyclist died after a crash with a vehicle at the intersection of Villanova Drive and Harvard Way in Reno Wednesday at 7:04 p.m.—police said alcohol was not a factor and they are investigating whether speed played a role. Reno Gazette Journal
- ➤ A backcountry skier was rescued over the weekend after suffering a broken femur in deep snow at 8,000 feet—rescue crews responded promptly to secure the injured skier. 2NEWS

- ➤ Michael Sonner, 57, who was on death row for killing Nevada trooper Carlos Borland in 1993, died on April 23 at High Desert State Prison near Indian Springs—his autopsy was requested and his family has been notified. KRNV
- ➤ Two people were arrested in Storey County when the Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Thursday morning at a property on Wild Horse Canyon in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Complex, where a stolen gun, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found. 2NEWS
