- ➤ Gas prices in Reno stayed flat at $5.25 a gallon Wednesday while the Nevada average held at $5.01 a gallon. 2NEWS

- ➤ Reno officials plan to install two surveillance cameras along the Truckee River in areas known for illegal dumping; the system will run for 18 months and use AI only to read license plates when detections occur to help protect our watershed. 2NEWS

- ➤ City of Reno has introduced a new program to help neighbors report issues at local parks. The new signs list items to report (suspicious activity, threats, emergencies, and water leaks) to improve park safety. 2NEWS

- ➤ Residents have reported more tick bites after morning park walks when one family found two ticks on their dog's belly. Public health officials urge checking for ticks on both people and pets after outdoor activities (using proper removal techniques with fine-tipped tweezers). 2NEWS
