- ➤ Cold Springs father Nicholas Loving—35 years old—, who was convicted of felony child abuse in 2014, was charged with child abuse/neglect that led to the death of his 5-year-old daughter Izebella Loving and appeared virtually for a bail hearing on Wednesday afternoon. KRNV

- ➤ Tonight, the Washoe County School District board discussed a tentative budget plan that shows a $9.6 million deficit for fiscal year 2026 (driven by rising costs) and must be approved by April 15 with a final version due June 8 (after the legislative session). - ➤ Bishop Manogue Catholic High School filed counterclaims today after firing former basketball coach Sara Ramirez following a state championship win in March 2024, denying her claim of race-based discrimination. The counterclaims allege that Ramirez failed to report a shoplifting incident by four players and ignored multiple parent complaints (the school is seeking damages for defamation and costs) (Ramirez’s attorney has 21 days to respond).
