- ➤ A Reno massage parlor—located at 3967 S. McCarran Blvd.—closed on March 13 after property owners evicted the business following a monthslong investigation by the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit into suspected prostitution. Reno Gazette Journal
- ➤ A Reno father (43) and son (20) were arrested and charged with conspiracy to harbor aliens after being accused of hiding illegal aliens for financial gain, as police recovered weapons, forged documents, and other evidence from their home. 2NEWS
- ➤ Reno police responded at about noon on March 19th to a shooting at the 2500 block of Dyer Way near Paradise Park—one person was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries and officers are searching for the suspect while asking for witness tips. KRNV

- ➤ The University of Nevada, Reno performed a necropsy on Zeus—a swan found dead at Manzanita Lake on March 10—as social media claims suggested his death may not have been natural. University Police have been asked to gather tips as the investigation continues. Reno Gazette Journal

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ If measles is confirmed at a Washoe County school, UNR, or Truckee Meadows Community College, unvaccinated students with vaccine waivers will be kept off campus until the health department declares the outbreak over — which may require up to 21 days of quarantine starting seven days after exposure. Health officials are concerned as national cases top 300 and warn that spring break travel could spread the virus further. Reno Gazette Journal
