  • Nevada Women’s Fund turned the Reno Arch purple for International Women’s Day, featuring local music and small businesses.  2NEWS

EDUCATION NEWS

  • UNR hosted the state finals of the Poetry Out Loud competition at the Joe Crowley Student Union where six high school students from across the state competed. The event took place yesterday and offered participants a chance to showcase their poetry talent.  2NEWS
  • The Discovery Museum hosted its first Girls STEM Career Day on Mar 7, inviting girls and young women to explore different careers + connect with local industry professionals at the museum.  2NEWS

SPORTS NEWS

  • Nevada Women's Basketball player Skylar Durley was named Freshman of the Year by the Mountain West Conference on Mar. 7. She is the first Nevada player to earn the honor since joining the conference.  2NEWS
  • The Wolf Pack men's basketball team wrapped up its season by beating Air Force Saturday night and will head to Las Vegas next week to begin the Mountain West Tournament.  2NEWS
