- ➤ Spanish Springs High School students practice broadcasting by producing live sports journalism shows in a media production class. The program builds essential skills for future careers in broadcasting. 2NEWS
- ➤ Sierra Nevada Job Corps is funded through next June to train up to 20 students a week. The program will begin sessions soon (local details to follow). 2NEWS
- ➤ The Washoe County School District Board of Trustees will review Superintendent Joe Ernst’s performance update during a public meeting today at 2 p.m. in the WCSD Administration Building boardroom at 425 East Ninth Street in Reno (an outside facilitator guides the process per state law). KRNV
- ➤ Representatives from the U.S. Navy visited Churchill County High School on Feb. 9 to introduce students to STEM career opportunities and Navy career paths. The visit aimed to inform students about military-related education and career options. 2NEWS
