  • Local leaders held the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Caravan Monday morning along U.S. 395 and I-580, starting at Greater Light Christian Center in Sun Valley and returning after passing Stead. Organizers said the event builds unity + honors Dr. King's legacy of giving back.  2NEWS

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Regional Transportation Commission said the pedestrian pathway along Sparks Boulevard, between Prater Way & O’Callaghan near Springland Drive, has been closed since Monday, Jan. 19 for about two months as crews work on the project. Commuters should follow the detour via Pullman Drive to Union Street then to O’Callaghan & Springland Drive and allow extra time for travel.  2NEWS
