CULTURE NEWS

  • Burning Man 2026 will take place in the Black Rock Desert from Aug. 30 through Sept. 7 in Pershing County, two hours north of Reno. Pre-registration for the Sunrise Sale starts late January with tickets going for registered participants on Feb. 4 at noon and options for low-income help available.  Reno Gazette Journal

  • The City of Reno is hosting a meeting on the future of Lear Theater to discuss redevelopment plans and gather input from community members. The meeting will inform ideas on how to shape the venue’s role in local culture.  2NEWS

  • Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH) says flu and RSV cases are rising—and urgent care visits for the flu now account for 10% of total visits, mostly among unvaccinated people.
