- ➤ The WCSO HOPE team contacted 2,930 individuals last year, placing 194 in stable housing and clearing 34 encampments near the Truckee River. The team will seek additional funding in 2026 to improve tenancy support for transitioning residents. 2NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Joe Lombardo and Britta Appel announced on Jan. 8 that Nevada received $170M in federal funding to expand high-speed internet to over 28,000 homes, businesses and community sites statewide. Deployment of projects will begin mid-2026 as part of the High-Speed Nevada Initiative. KRNV

- ➤ SilverSummit Healthplan is expanding Medicaid Managed Care in rural areas, now serving nearly 30,000 residents with services including primary care, telehealth, pharmacy, maternal and behavioral health. The Nevada Health Authority awarded a five-year contract (the expansion effort) that is expected to enroll over 16,000 new members in its first year. 2NEWS
