EMBODYING SHAKTI - THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF THE GODDESS
The Divine Feminine, as Shakti, is a Universal Energy embodied within all forms and is not associated with gender or male and female archetypes.
Join Master teacher Kate Colby Nelson for a journey into the mystical world of the Divine Feminine, the mystical Law, and the Creative Medium—the sacred dynamic known as Shakti that transforms the unseen into the seen.
In this four-week journey, we will explore the nature of the goddess as Divine Power, consciousness, and manifestation through the timeless wisdom of the Devi Mahatmyam, one of the world's great spiritual texts of the goddess traditions.
This ancient and captivating story reveals the mind’s inner battle through the many faces of the Goddess. With fierce courage, boundless compassion, profound wisdom, and unwavering love, she confronts the destructive patterns of fear, doubt, and separation that steal our peace and diminish our capacity to create the life we long for.
Along the way, we will encounter the Goddess in her many expressions: Durga, Kali, and Tara, the fierce protectors who awaken courage, transformation, and liberation; and Saraswati, Tripura Sundari, Lakshmi, and Sita, whose gifts of wisdom, beauty, abundance, harmony, and devotion restore balance to the heart and mind.
Through myth, mantra, meditation, and contemplative practice, we will discover how these expressions ignite the creative process, reveal the hidden patterns that oppose our deepest intentions, and strengthen our ability to work consciously with Spiritual Law as we cultivate greater clarity, trust, spiritual confidence, and become more skillful creators of our lived experience.
The Devi Mahatmyam becomes more than an ancient story—it becomes a map of our own consciousness. Its timeless symbols invite deep self-reflection, spiritual insight, and a richer understanding of the Divine Feminine as she lives, moves, and creates through each of us.

“Kate’s classes are clearly the most interesting I have ever taken. Each class is filled with complex information. More information than I could ever imagine. Kate is knowledgeable and a great speaker. I have learned more then i ever could through reading books. Each class I learn more and more in depth of Eastern Religions. I have discovered a new universe of deep spiritual information. I look forward in continuing my valuable knowledge from Kate.” Jen K.

“Kate Colby Nelson's classes are a true delight! Her enthusiasm is absolutely contagious. Specifically, in her recent Ganesha class she made the stories and symbolism of Ganesha come alive. They blended deep knowledge with heartfelt storytelling, keeping all students engaged and smiling throughout. I left feeling inspired, informed, and spiritually uplifted. I highly recommend Kate - she is absolutely wonderful!” Christine D.
“I love seeing the world through Kate’s lens. Her study of Science of Mind teachings and significant knowledge of Hindu ideology influence all of her offerings, and indeed, are infused in every breath she takes. One of my favorite things about Kate is that she lives every moment into her beliefs. These are her guiding principles, and you can tell just by watching her move in the world. Such integrity is, in itself, inspiring. My second favorite thing about Kate is the brilliance of her meditations. To create a flowing meditation that is full of beauty and meaning is a true divine gift. Her gentle and inviting voice presents these amazing creations in a way that welcomes us all into her world. You don’t have to be interested in Hindu mythology to fall in love with Kate’s offerings. But if you attend with an open heart, you are likely to be stirred by the stories she tells and find relevance to your own story.” Grace M.
