A life devoted to people

For more than five decades, Auxiliary Bishop Norris D. DuPree, Sr. has served with faith, humility, and a deep commitment to people. Since relocating to Reno in 1974 with his wife, Remintha, he has devoted his life to pastoral leadership, ministry, and community service throughout Northern Nevada.

As founder of Grace Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Sparks, Bishop DuPree has helped build a ministry that extends beyond the church walls through senior housing, education, outreach, and service to families throughout the community.

His legacy is also reflected in his partnerships with civic leaders, law enforcement, community organizations, and outreach efforts that serve those in need. As we celebrate 40 years of leadership, love, service, and community impact, the Legacy & Leadership Gala honors a life marked by faithfulness, service, and hope.
