About this event
Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale comes to life in a vivid performance by the Nevada Chamber Players, a faculty ensemble of the University of Nevada, Reno School of Music. Blending live music with actors, a dancer, narrator, and simple theatrical staging, this unique production tells the timeless story of a soldier who trades his violin to the Devil in exchange for wealth, only to discover that some bargains come at a far greater cost than expected.
By turns witty, sinister, and deeply human, The Soldier’s Tale combines Stravinsky’s brilliantly inventive score with storytelling, movement, and theater for an evening that is part concert, part stage play, and entirely unforgettable.
